Lest We Forget!

The Chair of the Parish Council, Councillor Karen Oxspring, has launched a campaign calling for volunteers to crochet, knit or felt red poppies to be part of this year's WW1 100 years remembrance day celebrations at the Cenotaph on Mill Street.

Attached below are details of how to take part along with knitting patterns.

Lets make Clowne awash with poppies in remembrance of those that made the ultimate sacrifice.

Defibrilators

Councillor Ross Walker has been working with the local community, companies and organizations to raise funds to provide at least four emergency defibrilators in Clowne.

So far, Alison Cook from St Johns Ambulance, Natalie Marklew and Councillor Walker have received enough funding for three machines and are collecting donations for towards the fourth.

The defibs have only one purpose and that is to try and save a life.

Thank you to all who have already donated and made this campaign a huge success.

If you would like to help could you please call Ross to discuss the details of your kind donation.
